A Message from the Founder: Embarking on Your Educational Adventure

Hi there! I’m Josh Anderson, the founder of DIY Active, and welcome to my first editorial. Yes, it took me seven years to finally sit down and write this, but there’s a reason for that, which I’ll get into.

To truly chase your dreams, you have to give it your all and be completely genuine. Here’s a bit of backstory. Last weekend, I was busy with my usual DIY Active work—handling emails, doing outreach, and catching some Olympic events. DIY Active, originally named Always Active Athletics, was created to help people get fitness results at home, especially for those who found gyms intimidating or couldn’t attend one.

Over the years, DIY Active has evolved into a full lifestyle site with articles from hundreds of authors, thousands of followers, and millions of readers. Our motto, “Home fitness for everyone,” reflects our roots in helping people achieve their potential, fulfill life goals, and find happiness. We’ve made great strides in home fitness but still need to work on helping people find true happiness.

The weekend’s Olympic event put things into perspective for me. Watching an athlete score her best ski run and seeing her joy when she won a medal was infectious. It reminded me of what true happiness looks like and why I started DIY Active in the first place—to help people find and achieve their happiness.

To get back to this core mission, I realized I need to be more visible and genuine. I’ve always preferred staying behind the scenes, but to truly connect with people, I’ll need to step into the spotlight.

From now on, my goal is to help everyone find the right programs to reach their goals, even if that means directing them elsewhere. Whether it’s about nutrition, exercise, meditation, or anything lifestyle-related, think of DIY Active as your goal’s concierge service. We’ve got your back!

Remember, your journey, regardless of its ups and downs, is for a reason. It helps you grow and prepares you for your next chapter, and we’re here to assist you. Enjoy the journey, and keep moving forward! Even though it took me seven years to refocus, having a support system and perseverance will help you navigate any deviations from your dream.
