10 Simple Office Workouts to Help You Shed Calories

Sitting in the office all day can get pretty dull and tiring. After a long day, many people don’t feel like going to the gym. So, what can you do to burn some calories while working or studying? Let’s look at 10 easy tricks you can try right now to stay healthy at the office!

Firstly, it’s easy to forget to drink water when you’re focused on work. To help with this, set multiple alarms on your phone to remind you to hydrate. This will not only get you moving but will also keep you hydrated and energized.

With all the water breaks, you’ll need to visit the bathroom often. To get a bit more activity, take the long way to the bathroom. You don’t need to go to a bathroom on a different floor, just take a longer route to your usual one.

Using a stability ball instead of an office chair has become popular. Stability balls help improve posture and core strength and can be used for exercises during breaks.

While sitting, you can also do glute squeezes. Simply contract your glutes, hold for 5-10 seconds, release, and repeat.

Another easy exercise is calf raises. Press down on your feet and lift your heels off the ground while keeping your toes down. This contracts your calves and builds strength.

To work your inner thighs, try adductor squeezes. Squeeze your knees together, using your fists as resistance. Hold for 5-10 seconds, release, and repeat.

For the outer thighs, do hip abduction exercises. Press against your outer knees while trying to open them. Hold the squeeze for 5-10 seconds, release, and repeat.

If you don’t mind looking a bit silly, try arm circles for your shoulders. Hold your arms straight out and make small circles forward for 30 seconds, then backward for another 30 seconds.

For your quads, try leg extensions under your desk. Hold onto your chair or desk for balance, extend your leg out, and flex your quad. Hold for 5-10 seconds, release, and repeat.

When you have a few free minutes, try bodyweight exercises like squats, pushups, and planks. You can use your chair, stability ball, or desk for support.

Exercising at the office is all about creativity. Find ways to stay active and you’ll be on your way to achieving your fitness goals. Remember to stay active every day, do something that makes you break a sweat, and you’ll feel great!
